Dirty 30's

Well, in 2 days I'll be 30! OMG! Thirty.Years.Old. That's old. Not really. But I remember being a lil girl and thinking that 30 was old. Now, I don't think I look 30, so that's a plus, (heck, people at work think I'm a student half the time!) but I'm sure it will catch up with me sooner or later.

I am really looking forward to leaving the 20's, and making the climb up the hill to my 30's. My 20's were full of adventure, learning, love, heartache.....GROWTH. I might actually run up the hill to get past some of the drama I've had to deal with. But, I know I would not be where I am right now had it not been for all the JUNK I've had to deal with.

There are going to be so many exciting things that will happen in my 30's. It makes me excited to see what God has in store for my life. I mean, heck, I'm getting married in 51 days. That sounds like a great way to start 30, if you wanna ask me!

It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To! Happy Birthday to ME!

SHOWERS!

April Showers bring May Flowers, right?! Well March equaled showers for me! I was so lucky to have 3 wedding showers during the month of March where I got to see lots of great friends and family. I am SO lucky to have so many people in my life that love and support us. We got so many wonderful gifts that I CANNOT wait to use!

Birthday Boy!

Nathan's birthday was yesterday! He turned the big 33! I will get to join him in the 30's here in less than a month and a half! EEK. I'm sure the 30's will be great for me, I mean, I'm starting it off in an exciting way...I'm getting married! He is such a blessing in my life and I know God was definitely looking out for me when he put us together. Many of you know I've had more than my fair share of heartache, so I am so thankful that I have Nathan.

Speaking of the wedding....We have 94 days to go. 94.Days. I can't believe it will be here before we know it. I have been pretty productive this week, FINALLY booked the honeymoon, booked the wedding night hotel room, and paid some more deposits. Now if I can just find that money tree to help me! Ha.

And the honeymoon....awwww, it's gonna be fabulous! We're staying at the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Take a look at it: http://www.eldoradosparesorts.com
Doesn't it just look BEAUTIFUL?!??!!?

Valentine's Day

This is only the 2nd Valentine's Day Nathan and I have spent together. We spent the morning at Keystone Church learning about having high fidelity in your marriage. I love going to church and being able to apply everyday principles to your life. After a little lunch I told Nathan I wanted to take him somewhere, but that he had to be blindfolded. I told him it was in Fort Worth, but that it was only about 10-15 minutes away. Little did he know we were only going down the street to the AT&T Store so I could purchase him a new little gadget, the iPhone. I got one last week after my Blackberry decided to crap out, and he's been wanting one for a long time. I had to take the long way and some side streets to make the trip about 10 minutes long, but once we pulled into the parking lot and I told him what we were doing he was QUITE excited! I love surprising him! He took me to Italian Inn in Fort Worth for dinner. This restaurant is special to us because that's where he proposed. It is also where we'll have our rehearsal dinner. I look forward to spending many more Valentine's Day with my man.

Thank you for being everything I've always needed Babe, you're the best thing ever! I love you!

My Bestie

One of my best friends in the entire world turns 30 tomorrow. Ashley is a ray of sunshine in my life. I know that I can count on her just about any time of the day for advice, a laugh, or just to say hi. Ashley and I met in the spring of our 8th grade year when we made freshmen cheerleader. We both agree that neither one of us liked each other. I was a goody-goody and she was a lil ghetto. We DEFINITELY hung out with different crowds. We finally came around, oh I'd say, end of our sophomore year. From then on we've been inseparable. I cannot imagine my life without her. We went to college together, lived together (in a TINY lil dorm), pledged the same sorority together, I was her maid of honor, and she'll be my matron of honor at our wedding in June, and there's SO much more that doesn't need to be mentioned. We've shared SO many life experiences with each other and I cannot imagine each step without her in my life.

Now I cannot believe we'll both be 30 this year, but I think of it as another milestone we'll be at together. I'm sure it'll be a decade full of laughs, tears, joy, happiness.....memories.

SO-in honor of your birthday-Ashley Myetta-I hope the 30's bring you so much more joy and happiness than you experienced in your 20's and I cannot wait to continue to make memories with you! Thank you for being the bestest bestie a girl could ask for and I love you (and Owen AND Clay) to pieces! Happy 30th Ash!

New Year, New You!

I've been saying this quote for about a week or so, and I finally found (AKA remembered) my password so I can start writing on my blog that I have SO neglected since I started it.

I figured now's a better time than ever to start documenting, especially since we're getting married in less than 5 months-eek! :) Such an exciting time, and Nathan is definitely keeping me grounded with all the planning.

I look forward in embarking on this journey with all my friends and family and making new friends along the way.

Here's to a WONDERFUL and MEMORABLE 2010!

Much Love,
